The songs of worship today in a church wedding centred around one common theme. Surrendering ourselves to Him.
As I continued in worship (through the songs), I 'saw' the 4Rs.
Relationship with God involves Responsibility, Reward and Recognition. They are part and parcel of Life in God. In fact, they are in every relationship.
They are so intertwined that we sometimes confuse them together without any realisation.
But if we remove Responsibility, Reward and Recognition, what we are left with is the real depth of Relationship with God.
If you no longer need to:
- Teach / Preach
- Lead
- Serve
- Reach out
- Pray
If you no longer get:
- Any reward
- Any recognion
Will you still grow this relationship with Him?
When we realise that there is nothing we can do, gain or receive from Him, will we still pursue the relationship with Him?
